Featured Millefiori glass inkwell

    Hello

    I bought this Millefiori glass inkwell but I can't find any similar, and not sure what level of quality it is. Snapped pontil, no signature, 11cm high.

    Lovely, but are you sure it is an inkwell? I would have mistaken it for a (perfume) bottle.

    Gut feel is relatively new gift ware. Nice enough, but a good maker would NOT use that dark coloured glass with millefiori, it drowns it out with sheer noise.

    Yes. That's what's off about it. Couldn't quite put into words why it didn't look as well done, there is just too much stuff in there.

    I thought that at first, but there is no way to easily apply the perfume, it just has a stopper and a wide rim. There is also a very small area for the liquid. I haven't checked but probably only 20ml once the stopper is in.

    The base glass ought to be clear, to my mind. I don't think it has a purpose, other than to look pretty.
