Oils or heavily painted prints

hi all

found these in a antiquey type place today, they were £20 for the two

although they are lovely, and have some age im thinking they might not be true paintings

i cant really see any areas that are not painted, but thinking they may be painted on a printed image

do such things exist ?, confusing

both are signed in oil the same

My guess would be representations of bible figures.

Weird, that looks like the same pair, they had the same brown tape on the back

I bought mine from a shop in town, so perhaps they bought these

Think I overpaid by the look of it !

I agree with the others, that they look like some sort of colored or tinted photographs. I can't tell whether they are prints, or what type of prints. The signature looks like Nilly Wishart to me.

The people could be actors in some Biblical play, but also could be models. I can't identify who they are.

I do like the pictures a lot. The coloring is pleasing to me.
