I <3 your posts. I really like how you provide lots of pictures and commentary to support it.

Below is a nighttime picture of my living room with my dolls. Sometimes it's cool to see the environment the dolls are in as a whole.

The lamps have red led lights in them, hence the red colour—they're not just white lights with a red filter, but genuine red-frequency-producing led lights, which give out a pure, rich red colour that I find really relaxing at night.

Thank you for the photos and explanations!

Not my area, and I will probably never put it to use, but I am fascinated by the knowledge and expertise found here, in so many categories of collecting.

You obviously didn't have to share this, but the fact that you did, is another example of why this is such a great forum!

I have a Masterpiece doll coming to my house eventually—Millie:

Millie is 39" in height and has 11 ball joints. She's not actually an antique or even vintage, but she is new old stock from 2013.

Masterpiece no longer makes dolls anymore, and Millie was one of only 350 Millie dolls ever made.

    Thought I'd share.

    Madame Alexander, anyone?
I picked this lot up at a local estate sale for an embarrassingly low price. Is it safe to assume that the restringing receipt is correct in identifying the dolls? It states a Maggie face doll ballerina and a binnie walker. As you can see, one is definitely dressed like a ballerina! And the other one does have a walking mechanism. The clothes are all tagged Madame Alexander. There was even an interesting remnant from what I suppose was that original box.:)
And I have a hard time believing that the valuations on the receipt can really be accurate. Might I hope for half what they state?

EDIT: Well, I've already found out via THIS REFERENCE SITE that I have a Winnie Walker, not a Binnie Walker. Apparently, there's a difference in how the wig/hair is attached.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Hi! The Binnie and Winnie walkers both have what is called the "Cissy face," made from the same mold as the Cissy doll. Your walker doll has a different face, and off the top I can't remember what that face is. I notice the receipt you have includes a question mark after the name of that doll so somebody was guessing. I do have a 1950s walker doll with the Cissy face, and will try to upload a photo I just took. First have to find the resizing options on my phone.

And thanks for the Doll Reference link! I have never figured out whether mine is Binnie or Winnie.

Okay, I tried resizing using my fairly new phone. I hope this is small enough to work.

Cissy was a "fashionista" type and so her expression was more cool and blank, like a fashion model. Yet they used her face mold for other dolls, like this walker doll.

Btw, this is the only Madame Alexander doll that I own. My mother has been a longtime doll collector and has a couple of Cissy dolls. Cissy had some beautiful clothing!

    Thanks for the help!
Here is the reference page for face molds from 1930s-1960s. Frankly, so many of them look identical!
    Perhaps she is a Margaret?
[EDIT: I just found on that reference site info that states Maggie was available as a walker from 1948-1954. But the receipt states that the ballerina is a Maggie face and it looks different... I think. Perhaps it's the different hairstyles that's throwing me off. EDIT AGAIN: I believe my ballerina is Trina/Treena and she has the Margaret face.]
Here's a better, straight on shot of the walker doll's face:

I once came across some 1950s Cissy doll dresses in a thrift. Spent $9 and sold for over $900!

LOL, I just realized that I have all the major pieces of the "eightway separates" shown on the box top!

The collectors below say she is Maggie.

From the internet (my sunsuit/skirt is in a yellow colorway):
