HELP DECIPHER ARTIST SIGNATURE ON 1935 PAINTING?

    Doesn't the label suggest this was framed ca 1958?

    More than 70, presumably less than 75, so 1959-64. Good call. I'm out of ideas too.

    I was thinking the same, mostly because the paint color looks different than the sig to me. Although, maybe the brush ran out of paint and the artist used different paint for the rest? I've done that with when writing with ink in the past. :)

    And I just see black paint applied a bit heavily at first, variable pressure after that, with the ground color showing through in places. It sure is easier to come up with possibilities without having to include that delta at the front of the line.
