    Hi everyone

A few months ago I got a box full of pottery and porcelain from an uncle of mine.
After sorting out the cheap, modern stuff, I'm left with a few nice pieces.
Most of them should be mid 20th century or earlier.
But, my knowledge of porcelain/potterey is zero...
Could you guys help me out with identifying some of these items?
Some are single pieces, some are whole sets.
Just let me know if you see something interesting and I will post them in a separate topic! Thanks in advance!

Thanks, Rob--that should give us something to play with! Your #4 is called rice grain porcelain.

I'm pretty sure your fox hunting ones are British, 60s ish. Based loosely on Thelwell cartoons. Are they small? I've seen similar doll's sets.

First set looks Japanese. The Grindlays is the 40s mark, from memory. You've a lot of Limoges there.

I recognize #5, and #8... Drawing a blank at the moment. Most of the Limoges stuff is recognizable as such, don't know if it is named. Rather a lot of theirs isn't; especially the rose-painted ones. (Ask me - I've got a set!) Your two favorite are lovely!!

Though #2 has flowers and vines it is not in any way Art Nouveau. It is a lovely design :)

Thanks for the info on n°4! Thanks to your info, I was able to find out a whole lot more about this type of porcelain. Difficult to date though, since there are no markings on the bottom. Maybe by pattern? More info is still welcome!

Funny you say that since my wife thought exactly the same about the fox hunting cups. They are rather small indeed!

As for number 1, could be Japanese indeed. My uncle his aunt used to travel the world around mid 1900's and she brought many things back to Belgium with her.
So at least 70 years old, or more since I have no clue if she bought it new or not back then.

Yes, a lot of Limoges in the lot, but more of the recent pieces I'm afraid...
As for the Limoges, n°7 is so lovely, wish there were more in the lot!

It's hard to see on the pics I posted earlier, but the handles are 100% Art Nouveau style... Pattern not so much indeed... maybe a later mix up from different styles?
