    Hello all!

    My co-worker gave me this today. Seems quite old. The back is paper sealed and is stamped “re-created by the Avery Galleries, Westport Connecticut. It is What I’m assuming is a recreation of a letter and seal by Napoleon? It appears very old and searching Avery Gallery/ies doesn’t return any results. I’ll post better pictures tomorrow. Thanks again!

    A photograph of the wording on the back would be helpful for dating.

    JMHO.
    I'd send it to a posh Parisian auctionhouse and ask a million. the French like a good laugh, too.

    Sorry for the delay... here is a better photo of the text and the back of frame. Does anyone know anything about the gallery? How old is this etc? Thanks again!

    Hopefully not a huge deal, but when I clicked on these thumbnail pictures it brought me to another site (postimgcc) which had a pop up asking me if the site could send me notifications, and also had several ads that were a bit sketchy in the sidebar. @daveydempsey

    I'm sure nothing malicious meant, but best if you can load directly photos here under "upload a file".

    Thanks! :)

    Sorry if there was a problem with the link. I’ve never had a problem using that site for posting on forums and have never had pop up ads from them either. I always try using the normal upload way on the forum but whenever I try on this forum using upload a file it always says file is to large etc and doesn’t work. Is there another way? Thanks!

    I don't think date much matters. Value is decorative and even that is impacted by condition. (The glue used to secure document and caption has bled through.) If I had to guess, I'd date to the 1960s which seems right for both the stamp's font and frame.

    That’s why I reposted pic, since I already got an eyeful, I thought I’d spare others. :hilarious:

    Very sorry if there was a pop up. I had no clue. I just thought it was a hosting page so you can view the link on a forum. Maybe I didn’t see ads or a pop up since I am posting from my iPhone. Again, very sorry. I’ll try and post the usual way using the tutorial.

    @KosmoCramer
    If you have resizing issues you can get an app., or what I do is email photos to myself size Medium, then save the resized ones and upload those. Check Display all images Full size. :)
