It appears to be a recent decorative object from China inspired by Fabergé eggs. Here's something similar. The giveaway is the crazing.

Ok. Long story short - I’ts just a decoration from company specializing in the making fake antiques for distributors. Good to know. Thank you.

I am not sure what you mean by flexible name. I am just an amateur interesting in nice stuff ; )

Catascopos could mean that you look down, back or through. Was wondering which one you had in mind?

I was wondering about that too. The name made me wonder, but so did the avatar picture, in a very different way. I know Catascopos is of a different generation, so I will try not to be too '2nd generation war syndrome-ish' about it.

I can only confirm and warn: the mentioned JBT mark is on nigh to perfect copies of a.o. Johann von Schwarz ceramics and sold via Dutch auctionhouses. I was cheated by Twents Veilinghuis in Enschede for 1300 €. he is also selling doubtful jewelry, coins etc. most probably imported from Asia. in other countries this guy would have been in jail for a long time, but it seems he's protected by the Dutch authorities.

Pls don't take it too seriously. It has nothing to do with war and such stuff.

Btw. Does anybody have contact on the mentioned JBT manufacturer? Its maybe a fake company, but now i found that they are making really pretty stuff. I blame the scammers for selling them as real antiques in the first place.
