Tye, I don't know anything about your cups, but here's your photo, so folks can see it better:

They look hand painted, at least partially. These may have been sold as blanks or mostly blanks and decorated either at home or professionally. The manufacturer may not matter a lot.

I cropped your photo and reduced its size and posted it at the same time as SBSVC

They may have, and they may have been made 10 years ago. Wait for more people to reply :)

I agree that they look hobbyist painted perhaps by your grandmother herself. I'm not so sure about 100 years old though. Somehow the decoration strikes me as more recent. Early china painters tended to focus on Art Nouveau image like florals or fruit (early 1900's) or geometric designs (1920's). There's no hard and fast rule, though. Your best bet about learning more about them would be to find a family member who might remember them or if you could find them in a photo somewhere.

I do not think these are hobbiest painted. Need a better photo of the cup and handle from the side please. Are they thin porcelain?

I more inclined toward turn to the century pre WWII. Possibly Japanese

I can see your point, cluttered. The close up does make a big difference. I can now see the aspects that make it appear more like Japanese than hobbyist.

    Bone China I think.
I believe the bone China. I tried to attach a side view. As a kid I would never allowed to touch them. So I feel really honored to be able to learn about the history. Thank you for helping

They are lovely, Tye. Do you have other pieces or only these two cups and saucers?
I ask because these usually came as part of a larger set.

I am have a set of 6 cups and saucers. I was never aware of there being other pieces.

I don’t think I would ever use a plate like this though. It would break instantly. Lol. I’m still worried about them using them for High Tea.

    Thank you for adding pictures.
I am going to stay with my opinion that they are Japanese in origin. Probably had a teapot and possibly a coffee pot to match.

    Very pretty.
