Featured Inuit Bird Carving Help

Hi all,
I have this carving, maybe a Ptarmigan, only the one label on the base. I've not seen a label like this before, maybe from the store that sold it? I've searched using the number and nothing comes up. Looks like at one time there was another label, maybe removed to put the carving number on it? It is 5"L x 4"H x 2 1/4"W.

It looks to me like it has webbed feet. Doesn't that rule out ptarmigan?

 

it's a co-op label and only their stock number....
if u can get it off and clean the base there may be something underneath etched on by the carver..

ptarmigan furry feet could be web looking...

 

It is a lovely but rather generic piece most likely from Povungnituk, Quebec. You can remove the label to see if there is a signature underneath but knowing who made it won’t add to the value of the sculpture.
