Hello, I am trying to determine the age of this tiki bar. The story is that a WW2 veteran brought it back from the Philippines, but I am having a hard time believing it is that old. I am also in the Army and currently restoring it. I like the story, but it sounds too good to be true. The top section is removable and may not be part of the original bar. It also has several stools. I don’t know anything about furniture, so I can’t even tell if this is real bamboo or rattan or what... Anyone knowledgeable and willing to throw some wisdom my way is appreciated. Thank you. Welcome, Tflizzo. The better way to attach your Gallery images is to use the "camera icon" in the toolbar. It's called Media Gallery Embed and they'll show up right in your post.
Would think 50s-60s when Tiki bars were the rage. Many US soldiers were stationed in the Philippines post-war so the story is plausible.
