Turquoise or Not Turquoise? That’s a question it is.

Got these and another pile of stone/coral jewelry for an online lot quite a while ago. Just dug them out. I’ve assumed the necklaces may be real turquoise and thought the bracelet was less likely to be. Can anyone tell for sure from the photos? No marks on any of it. There was no fine jewelry offered from the estate only costume. C06FF921-8721-494F-824D-05C829C7B54C.jpeg 57BA978B-AF33-4470-B79C-997E0E25270F.jpeg 41033CED-64AD-4999-ADA9-B033F9F455A4.jpeg

I think your nuggets are real but unsure about the beads

The greener strand definitely looks like turquoise to me & maybe American. When I see that very blue blue with black I think Chinese. The bracelet could be something else (howlite?) that has been dyed.

    The green ones are nice.
I have my doubts about the blue nuggets too.:bag: But the bead holes could tell us more.

I’ll only stick my neck out on the green. Have anyone to take them to?

The blue nuggets are hobbyist-strung; definitely check the holes on those. The round beads are on costume findings; turquoise that good of a color would be on silver at least. It also looks like dyed magnesite. The green ones could be 1960s "costume".

Here are some hole photos. (2) blue nugget, (1) green, (2) round blue beads. Taken quickly in bad light. I can do better tomorrow if needed.

If you can look inside the hole and see white then it's dyed howlite. If not it may be turquoise but I think hands on inspection by a jeweler who knows turquoise would be a good idea.

I’ll check my bead holes more closely. I don’t have a go to jeweler but I suppose I should probably find one!

I’ll have to find someone good to be my go to in the area. Turquoise I’ve always found tricky.

When you say “costume” do you mean you think they may not be real turquoise?
The findings are not silver on any of them. I just assumed the same person or company made both of the nugget necklaces since the same hardware is on both and they were owned by the same person.

Costume - not precious metal. The stones ...dunno.
