Help identifying piece please!

    Thanks @2manybooks - very interesting and quite exciting to think I have something that's possibly 100 years old or more. Dare I ask what you think it might be worth (or if easier, what you would pay for it)?

    No idea of value, or what your local market is like. I just like the history of technology. :)
    I should add that age is not the only factor. Quality and condition are also important, and your table is quite plain. It might be the product of a "country" furniture maker, rather than a professional city craftsman.

    those snail feet may hint towards Louis XV.

    rather as an observation of general order. for me it looks like a mix of styles, but obviously it's okay for the US specialists.
