Vintage/Antique African American Doll Help

    Hello everyone!

    Was wondering if someone could help me date this doll, as well as tell me anything they know about it. Couldn't find any markings, and it looks as though at one point some clothes were glued on her. I took a photo of the damaged foot so maybe to help with identifying what it's made of. (as I am not sure)

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I know Exactly what it is made of! Not that I know what the stuff is called; but I do know it crazes and peels no matter what color it is. (My little dolly in this material was a most unnatural pink.) And early 40's, I think.

    Click "Upload a File" then when your picture is loaded click "Full Image" like below.

    When I was a kid my Mom gave me one of her composition dolls and I gave it a bath......it crumbled into slime. :eek:
