    20180826_131118.jpg Hi all!

Im hoping someone here might be able to help me. This rocking chair is one of my favorite things and I'd love to know more about it. It has some character....a broken/missing arm spindle and a back piece that has been braced with a piece of medal and a couple of screws. I still love it. It's worn in and comfortable!

I've searched through past posts here and it appears to be a Boston rocker... or maybe a replica? I couldn't find a maker's mark but there is a piece left of a sticker that includes the letters "ws" or "sm" (depends on which way you read it!). I would love to know more about it! I don't expect to sell it, so the value isn't really important to me but it would be nice to know the age, wood type and maker!

(More photos added in thread. . thanks for looking! )

Welcome, clicking Full size for all images will help others to view. You should incude more photos. The underneath, joinings, and such. Looks very solid.
And the partial sticker or any other markings.

    Welcome Alicia.
Most old rockers will jump at the chance of a free dinner. But they would probably prefer a rock concert to a movie.

Well, it's oak, it's 20th century but that's about all i can tell you, sorry. My knowledge base is more 17th-18th century.

Early 20th century. Not a classic Boston rocker but a late Victorian concoction with a pressed design back.
