Featured Need help reading cyrillic inscription on oil painting

I've had this painting for awhile but never determined the artist. I assume it is cyrillic, any interpreters that can help me out. Thank you in advance.

If I had just seen the front, I would have thought it was northern Dutch, painted by one of the members of 'de Ploeg' art circle from Groningen. Like these:



Although part of Groningen has been a Communist stronghold for a long time, I don't think the knowledge of Russian there is such that they write Cyrillic on the backs of paintings.

Aleksandr Andreyevich Karikh born in 1941.

 

The middle line is СЕВЕРНЫЙ ВЕНЕР, maybe the title not sure.
The bottom line is ЯРОСЛАВЛЬ for the city of YAROSLAVL.

He was born on August 9, 1941 in Kuibyshevka-Eastern (now Belogorsk, the Amur Region). In 1962 he graduated from the Vladivostok Art College. In the years 1963-1966. - service in the Marine Corps in the Far East. In 1972 he graduated from the Moscow Higher Art and Industrial School (former Stroganov).
Since 1975 - a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. After graduation he worked in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and in Khabarovsk (until 1978). Delegate VII, IX, X-th Congress of the All-Russia Union of Artists of Russia. Participant of regional, all-Russian, all-Union and international exhibitions.

 

IM Translator says it means 'Northern Venus'.

 

I think it’s not «Северный венер» but “Северный вечер» that means Nothern evening, and it makes sence, because you can see that it is evening. And you actually can see that the 3rd letter is «Н» but on the top is bold “Ч». Hope that will help.

Thanks! I knew northern Venus couldn’t be right.

 

It didn't make sense to me either, or not as a title for this picture. Almost looks as though someone first wrote «Н» & then corrected it to «Ч» by going over those lines again to darken. It interests me that the two words are so close, since Venus is often the Evening Star.

 

Hi, sorry, it seems that everything is perfectly translated already. Just to add that Х.М. stands for oil on canvas but that's not that important.

Thanks everyone for your input. Now wondering what kind a value it might have. I'm sure the marketplace for it is in Russia rather than here in the US but it would be nice to know.
