Got this vintage advertising thermometer. Was advertising an old time local grocery store.

Also got this piece of cloth/textile which I assume is from the company that produced the Pullman Sleeper Railroad Cars. Anybody want to speculate on whether this has any value at all or did I waste a few bucks?

I've got some Jablonski, it's nice glass.

As to the Neiger. I didn't have enough cash on me to buy all the bits I wanted! He was after eighty quid for a necklace which is a fair price. But I wanted ALL of it, I tell you. Hopefully, they'll do well out of the directions I pointed them in.

The thrift stores were very kind to me today and yesterday. Total price was $12:

Nice one! I don't recognize that maker off hand, but that's a good score!

Anything Pullman is worthwhile. That looks like something off the back of a seat, call it a railroad antimacassar.

Might not be Neiger, but this pleased me. It's a modern watch, but as a glass geek I like it. The OTHER thing is that I now remember the maker who used gondola "dolphin" fins as a trademark. Antica Murrina!

The ring is silver and was one whole pound.

Thanks for the info. With the correct terminology I found a similar one that had sold for $30 on the Bay! Not bad for a $2 investment.

Hard to argue with it at that point. Of course as railroad stuff it would be strait to hoard-dom. (Dad's influence)

It's very fine, isn't it. Dead easy to put a new battery in, too.

Looks like a tea towel to me and I would love to have it! There are a few more listed on ebay as tea towels rather than seat covers. I also find them listed as hand towels, another possible use. Search pullman towel. :)
