You are most welcome, Sharona. Please enjoy!

    Nice finds folks!

One doesn't see this form (Gu) often in cinnabar. A bit dusty from sitting on someone's mantle for the past 60 years or so, but still a fine and unusual example.

I'm sure most of you know who made the other piece. :D

So 1) the item gets more direct attention and 2) so all the information about it is in one cohesive conversation.

    ;)

    OK...I'll buy number 1 , but not #2.
Now I have to look at both ring threads to see the different information posted on each thread by different members.

This is the "finds" thread where people show what they found. It would be difficult to go back and find answers to questions and would clutter up the finds board. The other boards are specific areas are for help and questions and makes it much easier to find again without causing chaos. If your question on the finds board were 20 pages back, most likely, nobody would see it again, it would just get lost.

    I love the ring!

Nuff, is that an original or a print?

If your question on the finds board were 20 pages back, most likely,.......

it would have been dealt with ...and we'd have moved on...

But how would you find it again if necessary? Or if a new member had something important to contribute about it?

    I could go on....

Have a few things to show. All thrift store finds.

This fan appears to be silk. Japanese? Chinese? Bought for 25 cents.

Polished cross section of petrified wood just over 5" long. Bought for $1.00.
    stuff1055.jpg

This pair of pendant lights are probably from the 70s or so. One is a bit longer than the other. Bought for $10.00.
    stuff1054.jpg

Royal Copley vase bought for $2.00.
    stuff1053.jpg

Large MCM pottery lamp. Pottery alone is 20" and quite heavy. Took it apart but it is unmarked. Bought for $6.75.
    stuff1051.jpg

Mats Jonasson Swedish lead crystal relief of a polar bear. There are several variations of these and size matters. This one is medium in size at 5 3/8". Couldn't believe it was only a quarter.

@Millcove, it's an original 1957 litho by Chagall.

    @Brad, your fan is Korean, 19th/early-20th C.

I think we're going to have to agree to disagree. For instance, it can't search by image. I've tried to find something pictured in an older post and given up in frustration a few times myself.

Plus I agree wholeheartedly with sharona's latest comment on the subject!
