Here’s a fun pick for $1.30 each. I like the suggested uses of the Peter Pan, with crisp bacon on buttered bread or with salad dressing, pickled relish and a leaf of lettuce on buttered bread.

I have a space and a showcase at Main Street Marketplace in the main aisle on the first floor.

 

I’ll snap a picture of my space tomorrow, I’m keeping that space and doing the second shop too.

Should also mention MSMP is expanding. The building was originally a hotel, in the 1960s it had an almost full modern rehab. and became a supermarket. So upstairs there’s an old hidden very narrow corridor of 4 small rooms and a cedar lined coat check room that never got the rehab. Those rooms will become a new but funky selling space soon.

It's amazing to me that they could paint this complex design through the tiny hole.


Moon over waves paperweight by Correia.



Chinese porcelain art tile hand painted over transfer depicting a scene from the movie "Dream of the Red Chamber", and the scene is when Granny Liu is visiting Grand View Garden. According to the back, this was 88 out of 1317.



Carved cherry amber bird. I went around and around with this piece, as there are resin reproductions and also it could have been reconstituted amber poured into a mold. I checked it with my trusty black light and it fluoresces strongly. I concluded it was carved because I found carving marks and errors.

 

I do believe Kiko hit the bullseye this week. A carved hunk of cherry amber that big? Woot!
