    The design registration number is from 1894, so a taco holder is obviously unlikely. ;)

    Napkin holders? Those look so familiar to me, but I am not sure what they are for.

    I also believe they are napkin ring holders or they look like them anyway.

    I had one of these. It had a glass insert and was meant as an individual butter dish.

    Haven't seen this piece before, but wouldn't be surprised if a Christopher Dresser design, he liked to play with wire, and texture...
