These have tremendous value. Worth asking before selling.

Not a trunk; a suitcase. c. 1920s according to this. (There appears to be a serial number to the left of the label which could be submitted to the Louis Vuitton archives for more information.)

Likely to have less value than a piece covered in the LV monogram canvas but the brand has strong collector interest.

Etsy or ebay would be as good as any place to sell it. Ebay would have bidding where as Etsy does not but Etsy has a different clientele. If you dont have the right size box to ship it in Just make one out of several boxes. I do it all the time. Be sure to insure for value and postage.

What are the measurements? Looks a bit long by today's standards.

Yes it's definitely bigger than an average suitcase for sure. Its quite large.

Does anyone know how much something like this sells for/has sold for roughly? Anyone interested? Lol

Your last picture makes it appear that it once had straps.

Possibly I'm a philistine, but this Louis Vuitton suitcase does nothing for me; but it did get me rushing down to the cave to find my grandfather's tool box. It has to be at least 80 year old. It doesn't have a manufacturers label:

It also does nothing anything for me, except momentarily bring back my memories of him. I must also get rid of it, as it is riddled with woodworm.

It may have had straps I'm not sure, Though there is no damage from having them taken off if it was, aside from those wear marks. They aren't on the other side though. Could be it was sitting against something maybe and was worn there. Hard to tell I can't find any pictures online of anything exactly alike. Im guessing the only way I'd get rid of it is to a collector or similar?

To my eye, looks more like it had two pieces of tape that were pulled off, taking part of the surface with them...

Armed with measurements, you should determine if it was a standard size for period or perhaps custom made for a specific purpose.

Good idea, I will try that. Honestly I wish one of the couple companies i found would just offer me $500 bucks for it and I'd be happy as a clam. Times are tough. Thanks for all the input guys!

Yes I think the value would be that it's from 1920, It's in pretty good shape for 100 years old really, I guess the styles were a bit different back then!
