I assume you think "chocolate pot" because the spout is placed so high up on the body? Wouldn't surprise me if it actually an individual coffee pot.

Can't make much of the lettered mark. Is it that worn as to show up blurry or is the pic out of focus?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Chocolate pot or not......this is all I could do with the mark....."Could" be "B1 12A." or "B1 13A."........or none of what I think!!!!! Seems to be a 4 written under the "B" too............

Well! I spent part of yesterday looking thru eBay to find someone selling that exact pot. The one sitting right next to my computer. Exact -- except that mine has on its bottom: 49 M. Found it, but no helpful info.

Given its size, I think that the manufacturer probably called it a creamer. There was a time when Everything had to look Exactly alike.
    Will look for reference.

Why not a creamer to match a service?

Thanks for the input ... yes, it could be a creamer. Wonder what the 47 on one foot is. I have played the mark every which way but even with my loop it looks jumbled. I come up with I or T NLKA. Don't know why they had to put things in codes. By the way I couldn't get the ebay number to work. Will try again later.

How very odd! Comes right up for me.

If it were for something hot, I'd expect an insulation insert on the handle. So I suspect milk or cream.
