As for pictures, he's a quick and dirty of most of the silver, except the stuff going directly to melt. A second image shows the gold. The blue topaz and probably white topaz earrings are headed to my sister's Christmas pile. The others are gold, but not great quality.

Was at a coin show this weekend and had a great time looking at great coins and currency. There was a dealer that had some coins and assorted small collectables so I took a look and found these:

    Franklin Roosevelt Lapel Pin

Political Pin - Turn of the century Mayor of Toledo, Ohio

These 10 plates & 6 bowls are on their way back to China right now. They both sold Thursday night & I was quite pleased with the results. I got them a few weeks back as part of a table lot. There is a very good chance they were obtained in Shanghai in the 1920's as some relation was a Marine & was stationed there during that time.

Each plate had a different hand painted scene on the rim.

The bowls were similarly marked, but they did not have any stamps & the design was also hand painted.

The sterling Reed & Barton servers are in the Savannah pattern, circa 1962 issue. The salad set I have seen before, but it's not part of a named pattern. Silverplated. And I say that with confidence, because Reed & Barton would never leave the sterling stamp off.

You got quite the haul, johnny!

I think the blue topaz items are stunning. I always keep my 14k earring backs to use on earrings I find that have none. Nice!

Johnnycb, I really like the photo of the plant/vegetation. The golden coloration in that photo is really striking and yet almost "soothing" at the same time. ;)

It looks like an orotone instead of a gelatin print. They're rarer. I have no clue about the red one. The turtle may be siberian jade.

That describes the estate sale I went to this morning! Got up waaaaay too early, stood in line for a number, waited another 40 minutes for them to open (and they opened up early) ...and spent $4 total. They did toss in a few quarter items for free. That Rolex...yowza, for four bucks. This pile was a dollar. DSCF9550.JPG
