    Aldi sells it in season, I think. I'm not sure about elsewhere, but I swear they sell the stollen bites. The version I was taught isn't difficult; it just takes all day!

    There's a company called Lebkuchen Schmidt that sells really big boxes of cookies. The tin boxes are beautiful. Never had the cookies. I know about it because I once found one of the boxes:

    The Aldi stollen is quite good. The one with the marzipan filling is not to my taste but the almond and raisin one is wonderful.

    Geez, I didn't realize I had this for so long, I finally got this tested today by a machine rather than scratching, it is sterling:)

    It’s a name of a person
    Sardar Vitthal Ravsidhe

    May have got his surname wrong the lettering is not easily readable

    Would this be mid 1800 time period?

    My guess is late 19th-early 20th century, but when it comes to Indian silver I am more familiar with Indian Colonial Silver, which is a different style.
