I bought this at an online auction and it was heavier than I had thought it would be. It has what I think is metal overlay on the 3-D decorations. Dragons and lizards maybe on the sides with human faces around the top curve. Hope my photo of the mark is distinct enough. That is all I know. Any idea of the marking or metal decorations? As Blooey mentioned it is just a heavy glaze with metal oxides making it look metallic. These pieces are usually 1950's onwards and made to look older. Very hard to say without holding it but they are being made today, so it could be almost brand new.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craquelure

there are glazes that are chemically altered so that when drying they contract more than necessary in shorter time to give this effect.

Appreciate it. Disappointed, but I do like it and have a place for it. Funny but I had to look up JMHO. Got to though. Learned two things. Thank you all of you.
