    Hi everyone

    New to the forum. We recently got two Antique chairs from my wife's parents...the chairs came with the house when they bought it about 14 years ago.

    I looked for any kind of manufacturer making and have found nothing. Believe they are from the 40s and may have been made in Chicago as that's where we live.

    Wife wants to reuphoster them but I told her to hold off till I do some research. Anyone have any info on these chairs? Anything would be mu h appreciated

    I'd not recover those, they look fine. Boudoir chairs in the French style. I'd have thought earlier than the 40s, but US furniture isn't my thing.

    Thanks, Davey.
    I agree with obb, the upholstery looks fine. The materials are perfect for this style of furniture. If you are worried about the slight wear, be sure to use the same kind of material.

    I think these might be a little later,possibly 60s. The upholstery is perfect for them.

    Hi,
    I am confused. I see a green chair but no blue one. I see a yellow and cream one.
    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

    I love your chairs.as they are..but...A few hot designers are covering them in different fabrics on each section with wild colors and even painting the wood...I cannot find the link, but I think Versace is one of those designers.

    Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

    The blue is kinda bluish/green.....might depend on your monitor????

    Yes, even not so hot upholsterers have been doing that for a while. They call it patchwork upholstery. It can look great if it is well done, but I don't know how long before people get bored with it. The way they are now is timeless.
