I guess this is a Russian picture of 1920-50))

What do you think about the painting?
But maybe I'm wrong)). I bought it a year ago for 17 dollars.

I'd say money well spent. The frame alone is worth much more than that.
    Any signature on the painting?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

It looks like there "could" be a couple of initials in the lower left corner, after I lightened it a bit......you might want to look at it with a loup.....

I love it. A very good buy. For $17 I'd buy it in a heartbeat (instantly).
Maybe there is a signature or a date hidden behind the frame?

Behind the picture on the stretcher is the figure 40.
The same figures are written 2212.

What these figures mean is not known. The number 40 can mean both a year, for example 1940, and something else.

There is no signature, just a stain.

On the bottom right there is something remotely resembling an incomprehensible symbol. Or maybe just smears of paint.

Perhaps it indicates some dimensions. On the frame they also are. Only in what they are indicated, I can not understand. It's not centimeters and not inches.

I'd have grabbed it too. A lovely piece and super value at that price. Well done.

Nice! My wife has me on restriction, so I wouldn't dare buy it! As it is she already calls me a hoarder! :D It was a good buy though! :D

My walls are also not endless)).

Therefore, I still try to buy paintings, drawings, icons in a relatively small format to keep it convenient.

Yeah, I just don't have any room on my walls anymore. If I gotta have it I'm buying and I'll deal with her wrath later. :D I just like to be funny once in awhile. :D Awhile back though, I was hiding stuff as I bought it and sneaking it into the house slowly. ;) She caught on quickly. lol :D
