Based on your Savers - and now yard sale finds I'd say the people in your area may have a strange genetic allergy to silver. Very nicely done!

Like I've said before, I feel like I'm the only picker around here. I see a lot of the same people everywhere I pick and have befriended quite a few of them. None of them ever talk about silver. Many of them still look for primitives and country kitsch, which still seems popular here.

Not terribly valuable but still my favorite, it's only marked coin, no makers mark.

For a second there I thought I was looking at a Viking hoard! Whew! Today I went hunting and found...not a ton. Stood waiting for a number at an estate sale only to find out the bulk of the jewelry isn't going to be there until I'm in church tomorrow. Did get some stuff.... and then on impulse checked my dad's old dresser in the bedroom. Found close to $1000 in class rings (dad's from college) and Grandma's engagement ring. I thought my sister had them all locked up in her safe, but apparently not. No pix of the class rings (they're monsters but they're class rings) but these are Grandma's and great-grandma's engagement rings. My grandmother's is the one with the butterflies and the amethyst. Figured I'd take a quick picture before stashing them again.

Last but not least, this honking big costume jewelry necklace. Not my normal thing, but for a buck I thought I could make a brooch out of it. Its heavy as heck too.

I can't see the clasp, or the back really for that matter, but odds are the necklace is brand harry spankers. If so, you have my blessing to mess with it. For a buck there's no downside.

The caddy is cute...the candlesticks are sweet......
& though I know nothing about costume jewelry cept what I've learned here....the other day I saw a woman news anchor wearing something very similar , & I thought , that's a little much for the TV News hour......so now I'm thinking....it's stunning....and do not mess with it !!
I don't know for sure that this type of thing is making a come back.....but I would leave it alone....& expect a good profit ...if not now....then soon !!!!!

It's the current "thing". I think.... Those showy costume pieces keep turning up on television shows. Unless they're signed they're not worth a ton on the secondary market yet and probably never will be.

    Very nice finds everyone.

Went to a few sales today, last one was the estate sale.

Got a few NOS Vintage Sheets NIP. I think one sheet is marked MIJ, never saw that before most are made in USA which is good!
Didn't take any pics as yet.

Love not having to worry if they have broken bits like glass and shipping them when and if they sell is as easy as 1,2,3 into a large bubble mailer.

Otherwise the rest of the sales were a bust, but the weather was fantastic. Sun and warm. Now we wait on the rain. Boo:mad:
