Even if it is not a cheap find ;) I'm stumped to have found a Victorian bookchain complete with its extender AND the locket AND the matching bracelet in fitted case! :woot:The full parure had a brooch, now lacking...
I posted it in the jewelry forum for help on the mark... Resized_20180523_121210001.jpeg

Terry found my marbles; I lost them years ago. Never went looking....

Today I hit two thrifts and bought a printed tote bag from a Danish store for ... 85 cents. Made in China.(sigh)

I also found a way to spend more money in the grocery store, and that my mother does NOT like Youth Dew perfume.

No problem for me, I keep a polishing cloth with me at shows and my down time is put to good use ;)

$avers had a Meriden quadruple plate tea set in the showcase minus the tray, all plate worn, beat up and missing the lid to the sugar bowl. Priced $499.99 with a note that said "appraised & compared with others for $1,500." :)
This was on the shelf for $2.99, for the big bowl with Web sterling rim, $1.99 for the creamer with a Web sterling rim and $1.49 for the Wallace sterling goblet.

Typical Spender$ for you. Crazy high prices on some things, but fortunately good stuff slipping through the cracks. You should(n't) see the prices they put on sterling jewelry. Wacky. The local GoodWill is the same way to some extent. You have to be there when stuff comes out and watch for the good bits.

It was a good start to the yard sale season. 4 sales and less than $50. D4A05C43-D727-4EF9-8BDB-A3EE71B92A2E.jpeg This is my favorite of the lot, a large coin medallion spoon.
