This pin has an interesting history, at least if you're me. I had it for sale on Ebay, when one day it had something knock against it, and it fell and bounced once and vanished into thin air. Fast forward at least five years and I found it yesterday. The probably means I need to clean my packing area off more often, but.... It's some sort of commemorative badge made by a Swiss company that also made assorted medals. Size is about 27mm i.e. a bit over an inch long. I want it out of here, to become someone else's headache.
Here's another on its original ribbon. Seller posits it was for the Red Cross but... https://www.todocoleccion.net/milit...a-suiza-cruz-roja-huguenin-le-locle~x87894948 Debora
I see two currently for sale on eBay. Neither of the sellers knows anything except the company was Swiss. (I'm thinking of going in on this but am not sure why, so am still thinking right now...)
And we have three! I'll pick a name on Tuesday one way or the other. It has something to do with medical care, but...dunno. Tuberculosis would be my guess.
You're welcome. May you finally figure out what that thing is, and I am very happy it can never hide from me again!
I'm late to this party, but my closest friend is a Huguenin. Many of that family were Swiss watchmakers. Not sure what the significance of this pin is, but may have been a side thing for the watch business making these pins.
Well - I'm in England and I have one. I found your site whilst trying to find out more about it. I believe it is depicting Christ healing the sick and poverty stricken. Cheers, Helen
