I bought this at an estate sale a few years ago..They had lots of MCM items...I liked it & made the purchase...Still do not know if IMG_3825.JPG IMG_3823.JPG IMG_3827.JPG it was originally designed for a Ceiling hanger or Torchiere??...Any help appreciated.

So assuming it is hollow? Interesting!

Size? Are there any dead flies or gnats in it? Don’t laugh, these are serious questions which must be answered.

Aquitaine...Legs are on a Plycraft lounger..(My favorite chair)

I think this was a hanging fixture and I get a 90s or later vibe from it.

Are there any light, circular scratches around the 2 holes?

    Hi,
Looks like a 1960s torchiere. Mushroom shade would be wonderful. How wide is it? Wonderful color.

Scratches seem to be from screws used to hold it in place, as a shade. Torchiere make the most sense.

Torchiere shades don't have holes. Think this makes it a hanging shade.

I defer to @verybrad - I thought they still had them to stabilize.

    Hi Brad,
Good call. I just looked at my torchiere and it has three knobs that screw into my shade and is just held in at the rim of the glass shade.
