Sterling silver and stabilized turquoise earrings.
The mark is an R in an arrowhead, sterling underneath. The only mark I can find, which vaguely resembles it, is for Raymond Yazzie, Navajo. His jewellery is totally different, so these aren't by him. Maybe not even NA.
    Does anyone have any idea?
    Thanks for looking.

Not NA. Modern artisan maybe, native american never. The feathers are commercial.

Thanks. I thought so, but wasn't sure. I have never seen NA feather jewellery where a silver wire just goes over a turquoise bead. It is always so carefully made. I like the execution of the feathers, though.

I've seen similar used in genuinely Native pieces, but the artisan bought them from Fire Mountain Gems just like the rest of us. That wire wrap thing is usually either a good artisan or a factory somewhere making things to look artisan.

So you were. Who'd have guessed!:hilarious:

I did think they are much nicer and have more detail than the usual commercial feathers, and it turns out Ernest Rangel is an award winning artist. I have a lot of sterling feather jewellery, genuinely Native made and yes, commercially made feathers are often based on Native made ones.
For comparison, here is the Fire Mountain page with Sterling silver feathers, nice, but just not the same quality and general feel:

Yes, I always enjoy it when other people do, so I should do it too, I think. It is also good for anyone else who is researching possible Ernest Rangel feather jewellery,
