    A strange discovery!
Recently I found an old cup with fragrant smell, when I put the water in a cup for a period of time, it leaves traces of a beautiful fragrance,
Could someone help me determine the type of cup?
    Thanks again,

A small Mortar (Mortar & Pestle) perhaps, used for extracting fragrances from flower petals, or it may have once held an aromatic candle?

It's a drink cup, Technically cannot be used as a pestle because it is easy to break. And it's a new old stock that has never been used

Is it terracotta or stone? Soapstone perhaps?

Then you have discovered some miraculous stone that emits a sweet smell when wet. Looks like alabaster to me.
