Featured Miscellaneous jewelry trash find

I was driving last night and there was something poking out of a bag in a trash pile that my wife would want for Halloween decor. So, I got out and looked inside the bag and the contents looked interesting. No garbage, just 'stuff.' So I just put the whole bag in my trunk and brought it home to sort through.

I found a little tin with this little jewelry lot in it. I thought the little winged woman was Tinkerbell. I was very wrong . The 10K piece has a mark but I can't get a good shot of it. The only other two are marked SLAA.

Anyhow, not sure if there's more than just scrap value here, but would appreciate any insight. I know I don't have great pics of the stones.

The fairy necklace is fairly valuable - it's a Trollbeads 'fantasy' necklace. Very nice! The mark LAA is a Trollbeads mark.

 

The driveway was full of miscellaneous stuff, some furniture, luggage, a small bar, etc. Almost looks like an eviction or something.

 

lol. It could be an eviction as mentioned, a bitter divorce, death, ....it is odd.

In hindsight, I should have grabbed all 20 bags!

All I find in trash is trash. Great finds.

 

Update: I pulled out the rings for another look, and in the first photo above, bottom row, second from the left does have a marking. IRID PLAT. Not sure how I missed that on the first go. Also, the stone is 5mm x 3mm high. I did a rough conversion to carats using those measurements and this is about 1/2 carat. Maybe I will get a jeweler to grade it for me...

 

Awesome find! I have been known to bring home random bags of stuff, too.....

 

Sounds like I need to go trash picking! Free platinum, gold and sterling jewelry? The price was certainly right.
