First off -- help me with the obvious. Would you call this "cross stitched"?

I really pondered about getting this (large, harder to ship) item at the thrift. In the cart, out of the cart, then back in the cart, it was just too cool to pass up.

Not some kind of mass produced thing, right? Was thinking the cross stitch might have been a pattern, but it has this personal part that seems like a joke "Foster Cocktail Construction Co...etc" Also nice that it is dated 1980.

I'm going to give this a shot and list. Finally what color would you call the green that would sound appealing in a listing?

Thanks ... not quite avocado in real life. Hard to get the photos to show that.

I think maybe "Apple green" might be the ticket. It is just such an 80's color.

Edit: As in Apple Martini! ....Bingo!

    Great color suggestions, everyone.

Also "cross-stitched?" and... would this have been from a kit?

It looks like it is a combination of stitches. I would add embroidered as well.
It is also signed and dated.

    I vote apple green too.
Looks like a combination of cross stitch and other embroidery stitches on Aida cloth.
I think this may have been a gift to the Foster family, made by Marilyn Roseberg, maybe a hostess, housewarming or anniversary gift, paying tribute to the Foster's as hosts with the ability to whip up some great cocktails.
P.S. Love your mosaic backsplash, did you do it yourself?

That's what it looks like to me too. It was made for one person by another, and a kit is likely. I'd date it to the first half of the 1980s.

Backsplash was in the house when we purchased it. Former owner did it with her daughter, I think her husband said. I never met the former owner as she had passed away, but she was very artistic and had a great eye. She made some nice touches in the home I've always been grateful for. Funky vintage handles on bathroom cabinets, before that was in vogue. Was a garage-saler and artist. It was part of the attraction to the house. Thanks for noticing.

Mojito Lime Green since it's all about the cocktails? Also a fan of the mosaic tile.
