Any ideas on these strange little figures. Help much appreciated

I don't think this is a Noritake mark.

 

Is it impressed with a signature or script across the top of the base?

 

It is but not sure what it says???

 

You could try sprinkling some corn starch(or i've heard cinnamon) on it to see if it brings it out - alternatively you could do a pencil rubbing of it on some paper...

 

Will give that a try it might just help with identifying who the maker is. Thank you.

 

THe N under crown mark looks a lot like the "capodimonte" mark used by ILPA (later IPA) after 1967:

Not anything to do with the original capodimonte porcelain - but a later italian maker who used a similar mark as many did.

 

Sorry to post in this topic but with completely different item, just related to another "capodimonte" mark on a vintage porcelain clock. Is it also something like IPA or other maker?

As I understand it the "N under a five pronged crown" mark was never trademarked so was used by many Italian companies. Even Chinese copiers could legally use it so the best you can do is say it has the capodimonte mark but who the manufacturer was is unknown.

 

This one looks to me like the letters SH form the center 'points' on the crown?

My curiosity really wants to know if you can bring up that impression. Looks like L. L.... something.
