Nope and they told me they just moved it to the front room because it didn't sell sitting on the fireplace mantel in the ladies clothing room.

It does need many dents pulled and the base is pushed down on one side.:)

For that money I'd give it house room too. It has to be 100x that in silver alone. I found some silver scrap today, but nothing like that. WOOT!

    Holy cow, Anund!

Good timing you were in the front just as they moved it. I've occasionally gotten things that people thought were just part of the decor (wall art at estate sales, etc) Possibly if on a mantle got overlooked??

Thanks for posting with the original price tag for true shock value. :woot:

    Unreal find. Congrats!!!

The marks are really hard to see up inside the base, it’s all shadow in there, especially in a poorly lit room.

A T.B. Co. Sterling 1920s banjolele. Obvious condition issues, of course, and probably too expensive to restore. But nonetheless, it interesting item for $3!
Anyone know of a banjolele restorer in the USA that I could contact for a quote, LOL?

It may well be past it, but it's still a cool wall-hanger. The poor thing was a fad instrument back in the 20s, so it's a miracle it's still around at all. I'm betting some Americana musician would love to get his/her hands on that, even in this condition.

    Nathan Lindop 1: “?” 2: “!”

Found a mirror I’ve been hunting for for a while. It wasn’t identified at my local auction for sale with two other Edwardian mirrors and a plain leather briefcase. Didn’t get it dirt cheap like I thought so somebody else must have known what they were looking at. Take a look for yourself. A resource for divination, seeing past, present and future. A sorcerers mirror. £110 ‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️

I went hunting yesterday and today and found all sorts of goodies. Spent too much, but did score a cheap pin. "It's not marked" said another customer and the sellers (family run sale, but well done). Yes it was - 14k. The business card case alas is plated rather than sterling. The silver salts in the first shot - one is sterling, and the heavy one is Christofle. Spoon too. The cotton needlepoint bag was the most expensive individual piece I got on Friday, $10, but check out the inside. The glass cameo set isn't marked.
