@johnnycb09 - Your crystal & sterling whatsit is a cigarette holder, possibly Cambridge. If you can get a picture of the pattern we could probably tell you for sure.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Here are the TWO Cambridge Chantillys......the ONLY difference I see in the two pieces is the BASE.....unless of course their size is different.....but in looking at the two patterns.....to my eyes.....they are one and the .......OOOOOPS.....once I JUST posted....I see a difference in the top....Johnny's is plain around the top....THEN other than that (and the base)......they look to be the same........I had my eyeballs IN the pattern so tightly I didn't see around the top.....DUUUUUUH!!!! Sorry, thought I had it nailed as pretty identical.....:(:(:sorry:

Just got round to opening the boxes of auction buys a few weeks back, I thought they had lots of interesting stuff in the lots and here are a few tasters

Wedgwood Fu Dogs coffee can 1812-22 (now on Ebay)

Wedgwood Punchware Napier pitcher (on its way to Etsy). Punch looks like a very creepy old man!

Edwardian (?) child's tiger hunt plate with tin warming pan, plate has a central enameled underglaze scene. The hunter looks far too laid back with his parasol for shade. I think the tiger is ready for his dinner!

No, smaller, that is why I thought it may for travel. Each panel is 9-1/2" square.

A nicely carved figurine. The fact that it can stand was a bit of a giveaway.;)
Just to give an idea, this is the base of a very slender Madura keris hilt, a Balinese one is much more bulbous:

Because keris hilts have no flat base, there are special stands for 'orphaned' keris hilts:

So interesting to see the base! Thank you for showing these! (The stand with the orphaned hilts is a really nice display:woot:)
I can see now the differences :)

But I gotta love the image of him as an equestrian portrait of a Caesar, on a toy horse!

Quick stop at a yard sale on the way to Aldis because I saw the blue from the road and it intrigued me. 8 Nasa mission commemorative glasses $1 apiece and I LOVE them!I love all space age stuff,I guess because I grew up during its peak.

I'd have jumped all over those glasses too, for the same reason. My dad worked on the space suit. I need to get photos of today's score up - two sterling bits bought for about melt weight if not a bit less. Gotta love getting jewelry for that price. I also found a ladies watch with a gold case for $3. It'll probably scrap out for $20 at best, but that's still a pretty good sale for a busted watch nobody wants even working.

Johnny, those glasses are the bomb!

Finally have a chance to post some photos. Kino Guerin vase, hand painted "Hecho in Mexico" lacquer box and older glass on copper bowl (thinking home craft since not signed?).

The box is interesting, typical for Olinala, State of Guerrero, but I have never seen that design

Lousy blurry mess of a shot, but I came home with a heavy unmarked silver bangle, a giant hamsa pendant and a wooden cross. Cost a little more than I wanted it to. but I'm about at silver melt for all of it. DSCF9025.JPG

This WMF dish ... has some ink dripped on it I think. Any ideas to get that off?

I hope it isn't some corrosive liquid splash...:nailbiting:
No harm could be done if you try rubbing alcohol :)
