Me? Who? I don't know WHAT you mean.

So far this year. Ten postcards of the Wembley Exibition. Eight bits Doulton Lambeth. And on the way, a job lot of jewellery, similar brooches and a Liberty bangle.

Who says I don't have will power?

I've bought some jewelry. Once. Of course I've had estate sales and a few thrifts still open and have probably spent more money, so....

Shouldn't that be: "spill the beads?" LOL

No, because that would be a catastrophe!
Said by someone who has just dropped a box of 1000 seed beads on the floor! Aagh...

Face to face, Paypal, or FB payments if you can trust FB with financial info.

DONE THAT. ARGGGH! doesn't cover it.

It’s blind luck for me what I can find.
The search facility is rubbish. You do find some bargains that other people just haven’t found though.
You can set an area to search within but it’s very hit and miss.

Spotted a couple of bargains but they were both sold after a few hours only.

Some you win and some you lose.
I bought a jewellery box from FB marketplace. Amongst the tat are 5 9ct necklaces and a load of silver. I am actually having a guilt trip that I should send her some more money.....

It’s always difficult when that happens. It’s a personal decision and a reason why I never buy in Charity Shops.

It’s ok. I made the kids pick them up. They are closer to the ground than me.
They also now know some choice swear words

My Kid has four feet and while she'll bat stray beads out of hiding for me (in her own time) cleaning up is outside her skill set.

I admin several large groups there, which helps. (I'd forgotten the three rings I ALSO bought!) I've used PayPal mostly, the odd cheque and even a local pick up or two when that was possible. it's BAAAADDDDD. Makes up for my serious deprivation levels for car boot sales at the moment.

I've also sold a fair few things on Facebook. Some almost on trust: a few of the groups are a real community of people who know each other. Glass, especially.

As to charity shops, yes, had some real bargains, but I give an awful lot to them so I don't feel bad about it.

I don't belong either but I've ben wondering about the marketplaces.

I know someone who signed up under a false ID just to be able to have access but be anonymous. Nothing underhanded going on, they just are very concerned with privacy. I wonder if that violates FB policies, if they get found out can they be booted off?
