I found this in a box of other military buttons and I can't seem to locate it. It has so much going on in it that I'm not even sure what to enter in the search box while playing "Google detective". I've tried "crow's nest button", "brick wall crow's nest button" etc. It's about 1.5" diameter with no back markings. I can't tell what material the face is. But it looks like metal except for the chip out of it. 20180413_220306-2268x3024.jpg 20180413_220324-2268x3024.jpg

WOW!!! That is one BIZARRE button, @Christopher!!! Are they maybe in a boat and that's some kind of a paddle??? You seem to be on a right track though! So, here's what I did.....sometimes I Invert images......I think it can help to show what's not too clear.....but still may not explain what's going on!!! So, I do see a Lion's head in that large flag (?) upper left, but he seems to have a mustache and a smirk!!.....those are strange little 'people' (??) either on that wall or in that boat with seemingly sad expressions on their faces......maybe you can pull more out.....I'm not sure what's going on with the tower/crow's nest with a sort of chain around it!!!! Do they need rescuing??? Fascinating!!!!

This one is from lake Titicaca, Peru.

    Corrected photo

My first thought was a reed boat as well, but that central thing that looks like a crow's nest/cooling tower is a mystery to me. Maybe the tower is meant to be in the background and the boat in the foreground?

This one matches what @Any Jewelry said about the “tower” on shore.

Hmmm...in Aquitane's image the figures in the elevated structure look open-mouthed, as if they were shouting something, maybe "Over here!" or "This way!"
A Peruvian Coast Guard button ! Or maybe not.

Is that a Thor Heyerdahl boat?
The flag is Bolivian, the neighbouring country that also owns part of Lake Titicaca.

Lake Titicaca is fine, it is on the border of Peru and Bolivia.:)

Actually, I just noticed that in OP's ORIGINAL image, it looks like the "figure" in the front of the "boat" might be bailing out water???? Ergo a reason for unhappy faces!!

Much more likely than Lake Titicaca. But what about the tower/crow's nest?
