You know the other church is Little Church Around the Corner?

His wife was an artist too. Have you been able to track down any of her work?

Vine Arch Bridge is in Central Park. The George Washington Bridge, which goes over the Hudson to New Jersey (Chris Christie, Bridgegate) is about a mile south of the southern end of Ft. Tryon Park but easily visible, especially when lit at night.

Deborah, Thank you for finding that name of The Little Church! Helps with the archiving. Actually both his wives were artists. My lineage is from the first marriage to Margaret Jane Russell Roller and we have many of her paintings and history. We even have a lock of her blond hair from when she was young! But that's another story. The second wife was Janet Roller, and we have seen a few of her paintings where they lived in Lynchburg, VA.

Hunting, I'm searching through those links now, thanks!

Also, I noticed the first one you posted has a copyright logo. Maybe another avenue for you to look. You’re going to be busy. Would love to see what you can amass.

I just realized we now have images/links of 6 out of 7 of the known ones, so here is the last known postcard so far!

What catches my eye about them is that they do not have a border, nor any writing on the front to ID the view. Also the golden glow they all seem to have, unless that's age.

Thought if he did one end of Ft. Tryon Park, he might have done the other, where the Cloisters Museum is situated. Had hopes for this:

but turned out to have been printed by the Met, of which the Cloisters are an outpost.

We've been trying to ascertain if all the postcards were done off his original paintings, and suspect this is the case. If so, there are likely postcards made of these paintings (housed at NY Historical Society) out there:

If anyone wants to break in and steal these for me...(completely joking!! :))

Hunting!!! You just found a list of 12 of them off that link! Now we know what we're looking for, and some of them sound really great, like Rockefeller Center and Empire State Building. Bravo!!

I don't see Columbus Circle in the piece above. Are you sure that's the setting? Suppose it could be a view from Central Park with 8th Avenue to the right but it could also be Central Park South with 6th or 7th Avenue descending.

That's a good question Debora, I see what you're saying. Unusual for him, he did not write on the back of this painting what the setting was. But as you said, it was clearly from inside the park given the trees in the foreground.
