Bread fork.jpg Pickle fork 1.jpg Pickle fork 1B.jpg Pickle fork 2.jpg Pickle fork 2B.jpg I have found amongst my parents' belongings the following items and believe they belonged to my grandparents in England. Any idea of more details and possible value, please?

Bread fork, and two trident (pickle) forks.

Hi Lizzie, I’m just going to post your images FULL SIZE so all can see them that way instead of ‘thumbnails’......I just now see @komokwa gave you a mini tutorial in getting them up FULL SIZE as well....try to do that next time please....it’s a LOT easier on all of our eyes!!! Thanks!!! And if the “bread fork” is the first one, I LOVE it!:)

One pickle fork has a registry number but I can't read it. Is that green handle cold or warm?

This bread fork shape has a UK nickname. It is called a "bun stabber" and is very welcome for scones at an afternoon or cream tea. My 2¢.

I've never heard them called that here.

Never said it was universal. I remembered it because it was such a Brit irony and have bought a few. You need a slice of Flies' Graveyard and a cuppa?

It really isn't a term here at all, someone has been having you on. You don't spear scones or slice a Garibaldi.

Hunhhh, "bun stabber" is not a term I've heard before either - interestingly, a google search only turns up two things for me, a 2012 New York news story about a mystery attacker who stabbed someone in the derriere several times, and a New Orleans vendor selling a hair ornament...

I've come across bun stabber as a hair thing. Meat fork seems feasible to me.

Could certainly be used for any purpose desired, but it is a bread fork - that form is usually British silverplate, dating to the late 19th-early 20th century.

    From a 1900 catalog:

This 1895 ad shows a different style bread fork in the OP's pickle fork's 'Ivy' pattern:

I have a mid 20th century bread fork like the one below, by Norwegian maker David-Andersen:
