I have 12 hand painted porcelain plates that I can not find any markings on them. They belonged to my deceased stepfathers grandparents. We know that they have been in the family at least as far back as the early 1930 s and probably longer. I am confident that they are valuable but i haven't been able to find info on them and the fact that I cant find a mark confuses me even more. There are 12 plates excellent condition. There is a matching platter that had a piece broken off and someone did a terrible job gluing it back on. Also there is a gravy boat and saucer. Help we be greatly appreciated. The only mark I find is on the back of the platter and it is gold writing 529.9.
As for your plates, I suggest you start thread about them in the Pottery, Porcelain and Glass Forum (many of the specialists don't look in the Introductions.) They'll need a pic showing the whole front of a plate (are they all the same?) and even without markings a picture showing the back.
greetings..........Do you love it THIS much !!!! I do ! Hey Mike...... here's helpful tips..... 1. start a new thread for items you'd like us to comment on. 2. always click on FULL IMAGE...so those on the phones can see your pics as large as they can be.... 3. include measurements , so we know the size of the things you're describing.. 4. change you tag line......no one likes a Grumpy Gus !!! 5. be prepared to have fun here & understand that once you post...anything....you never know where the conversation will lead...!!
I do. Everyday. If I cant play I chip, pitch and putt a couple of hundred balls. Sometimes twice a day. Thank you for the helpful information
Hi and WELCOME, Mike!!! Lots to learn here, but what Komokwa said is also true!!! You'll do just fine
Hey Mike...I'm told that Tiger has 4 full sized greens in his backyard.....either you have one...or live next to a course......& I love the effort !!!
Hi @mike hamer that is a damn nice bike! Make sure you post the plates photos of full front and back to the corresponding forum for porcelain and I’m sure somebody will be able to help out! On first impressions they look to be close to the date you place them at.
