vase.jpg This flower vase has been in my family for years, but I have no idea who made it or how old it is. No marks on the bottom. Does anyone know who made it?

HALLELUIAH, I'M GETTING MY COMPUTER BACK TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!! (so they say!!!!):rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I saw that also, but I just can't tell if it is writing. Thanks

Does kind of look like writing, but I can't read it either

This I believe is a Chinese piece, not too old.

My grandmother had this when I was a child. So it has to be atleast 65 years old.

Maybe not Chinese, possibly another country in the Orient - is there any crackle visible in the clear glaze under the base? It doesn't look pre-WW2 to me, so not really old or anything.
I suppose it could be from the 60's or thereabouts, doesn't look typically like 50's oriental stuff to me, but there again, I could be completely off - it's just my opinion after all.

Yes, there is alot of crackle in the underglaze. And I have looked and looked at handles and can't tell what it is. I can see 2 eyes but can't tell what kind of animal it is.

It's certainly Asian, and I'd think Chinese made for the western market. The rose is very much European superimposed on a Chinese vase. New in the 60s.

I think it could be Japanese in the cloisonné style
