    In the link I posted, one of the results near the top is a pinterest page that includes the same cameo, with a somewhat different color background.

    You asked what it represents. I think just a mother and child. Modern cameos often don't have any meaning related to classical mythology or anything.

    You could sell this and make quite a bit more than you spent. Depends on what kind of profit you are looking for. I don't know which venues you sell on, but it seems that there is some profit there since you spent so little.

    Quite modern, looks like porcelain to me rather than stone, although Ms. Fig is correct that it resembles modern dyed agate pieces that are mechanically cut.

    Original packaging always gives a significant boost in value. Even so, this sold well right before Valentine's Day & Mother's Day is looming. Would try flogging it as a gift for mom before scrapping.
