I have an antique set with a small rocking chair, dresser and single headboard that is painted green with hand painted design. The logo looks like a rocking chair but has no writing and no one has been able to identify it. If anyone can help me with ID I'd be very grateful!

I fixed them. Diane - you choose thumbnail or full image after you upload them.

That's a very pretty set. It looks like it was made in a small factory shop.

I brought it with me to Florida and it looks out of place here. I thought of painting it but it seems criminal. I would sell it if I knew the value.

1920s furniture usually seen in dark wood.Im wondering if someone added the paint during the 60s.I agree with leaving the color alone, its what makes it charming.I see letters on that logo,Dairo, cairo?

I believe this is painted cottage furniture built and painted in the late 1800s.

I'd say that's probably correct. The ball feet are william & mary, the bow front was popular in the federal period, late victorians would often combine 2 or 3 different styles in the same piece.

    Welcome Diane.
The set is very charming, and the colours are part of the charm. Please leave it as it is.:) And I agree with Book and James, 19th century.

Gosh, I couldn't paint it. It's what it is and extremely appealing.

It was my grandmother's and I know it was not painted anytime after 1960 and I believe that the paint is original to the pieces because of the scratches and wear marks. She was very wealthy until the crash of '29 and always had the finest furniture. The pieces are beautifully crafted and have lasted through many generations.
