I am looking for ID help on this very pretty brooch. Maker and place of origin? I put this at least 1950s but that is as far as I've gotten. Have not found anything really close online. Although the blue enamel petals are reminiscent of some Scandinavian brooches I found. It is about 3 1/4" long and about 1 1/2" across the flower. It appears to be a vitreous enamel (?) on the petals. Thanks!!

    Hi Wenna
The AB stones were invented and released in 1955. The blue enamel petals are simply gorgeous.

Thanks greg...those petals are what I love the most too. Yes, the AB stones are what I was basing my age estimate on. Someone in a different group mentioned that the V shape of the pin clasp also put it around that time period.

    That blue is gorgeous, wenna.
The brooch looks very American to me. I have never seen Scandinavian (Norwegian?) enameled jewellery with ab.
I don't see a V shaped clasp, just a modern roll safety clasp, which is still being used.

    Lovely.
    I think 1960s not 50s. Flower power.

The pin back is not an expensive solid pin back. It's the type that often loosens around the rivet and then the pin wiggles a little.
So although the pin is very attractive, I don't think it is of high quality. Probably sold through a 5 and dime, or drug store.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I love the colors, and would definitely wear this if I owned it.

Thanks Any Jewelry, it was a long shot I know! It's starting to look like a Beau Jewels / Judy Lee piece. I found one image online (dead end though) that described it as such. It has the same little flower overlays. Here is the google search link just for giggles (should be in the first row): https://www.google.com/search?biw=1.......0...1c..64.psy-ab..0.0.0....0.jUH3X4knD-s
