Very nice finds everyone. I haven't been out picking much of late due to the weather and family issues bogging me down.
I hope the weather warms up some soon as I need to do more shopping.

Now that we've beach-en this to death, here's today's goodies. The piece with the gold marks is just plated, as I'd already guessed, but those beads are rock crystal and hand cut. I'm thinking Buddhist because they're the wrong count for Islamic. The green pendant is a piece of eilat and the cuff links are souvenirs of the Mauretania. Apparently they were 1930s passenger souvenirs. DSCF7905sm.jpg DSCF7913.JPG

Hit a mother load today, the erosion at the base of the bluff from that last storm uncovered a old beach dump. I’m going back tomorrow with a metal detector.
The largest piece is 4” wide, never found one bigger.

It's a chrysocolla variant. This doesn't have as much of the black in it as some pieces do. DSCF7915.JPG DSCF7916.JPG

Mappin and Webb silverplate 1935 ish tea set designed by Keith Murray. £1.50 from last summers Jumble sale. These sell for a lot more than usual due to Keith Murray connection probably about £300 plus for a 3 piece. I also always pick up the Chinese cracked ice and blossom ceramics when I can if it's 19th century and cheap. image.jpg

I am so jealous of that. Although, I do have one of his glass jugs bought for a quid at a car boot!

Bronwen :) .. I remember the old coin machines in England. While sitting in the old double-decker buses the bus conductor would gather your fare just after you got on, I can still hear the clicking of that machine and the change if any being placed in my hand. These were the days when you were taught to get off your seat for ANY adult or person with disabilities, and if your Mum wasn't with you another adult on the bus was quite willing to haul your arse up into the standing position HaHa ha .. I taught my children to do the same thing. Of course .. it wouldn't happen these days but we DID learn RESPECT !! .. Joy. :)

By stating "it wouldn't happen these days" I meant 'the hauling of the arse' !! .. Joy.

I love jumble/rummage sales! Went to an estate/hoarder sale this morning. It was pretty filthy, and they'd already sold most of the jewelry as one lot to the first person in the door. Spent $10 on nothing much. Went to my church's clothes closet to drop off some things and do some "shopping" (it's all free). Found a small baggie with gold in it, some fabric, a jacket (that fits. how'd that happen?) and a few small bits. I'll be splitting the gold with the church, most likely.

Scratch the gold; it was donated by mistake. Still did OK for free.
