Already posted right after the auction win in the finds thread;)
    Unexpected last seconds auction find!
Blurry pics, described as very ornate metal little chalice...
    5€!!!
I was pretty sure it was silver:pompous:
    Bingo!

Marked on stem with the French swan hallmark for foreign silver.
    6.5cm wide, 3.5cm high.
    No maker’s mark.
    Perfect candidate for kyratisation ;-))

I had to carefully straighten it back, rebuild one blue petal and a whole yellow and brown leaves and berry motif with twisted silver wire. 20180117_143445.jpg
Before, the repairs are at 7 and 10:

    Thanks for the wow! :joyful:
For THE eye, :cyclops:I have one strongly nearsighted, it helps to see clearly from very near without a loupe:pompous:;)
The other eye is good for hunting from sellers blurry pics:hilarious:

Great work again, kyra. And a gorgeous little salt cellar.
I love plique-a-jour, but I'm sure that is even more difficult to kyratise. (Any swearing involved in this project?:hilarious::hilarious:)
    A winning combination!
I love blurry pics as well, I always hope I'm the only one who recognizes what an item actually is.:snaphappy:

Plique in vitreous enamel is very hard to do (totally out of my area of bricolage!).
Repairs with cold stuff isn’t particularly difficult! I back the repair area with tape when possible, then apply JudiKins “diamond glaze” in tiny droplets with a toothpick. When dry color it with permanent markers, et voila:joyful:
Haha, wrong descriptions and blurry pics always make me hope too I’ll be the only bidder:sorry::facepalm:

Oh, that is wonderful. And so good that she did so much to give an insect a new lease of life. Few people would do that.

Nice work! That work on a live butterfly is awesome too. I have a friend who's a prosthetist; he'd love that. (He fits artificial limbs)
