That's all?!! Brilliant! A museum restoration expert might have used different materials, but doubt outcome would be much, if any, better.

Yes, looks quite old. The owner must have been very happy. You too. :joyful:

    Or call them my "bricolages":joyful:
The kyratisation term is nearly patented on Collector's Weekly where I post them!

I'm really not used to plastering... would mess with it! I found polymer clay is perfect for small things that can stand 110 celsius baking! The painting is a mix of watercolor pencils (damped with my tongue:p!) And wiped permanent markers...
Thanks for your kind appreciation :shame:

Ha! 3 hours is a lot for me, being impatient to get the result!!! I'm sure professional restorers would be horrified:wideyed::stop::zombie:
But right... I'm proud of the result:)

Joy, you're so right for the love of the object, it is a true happiness to "help wounded pieces" Big thanks for your kind words:shame:

A French saying tells "c'est en forgeant qu'on devient forgeron" aka "it is by smithing you become a smither"... just DARE and practice on junk pieces;)

    Well put, Joy.
I knew there was something missing in my observation. I had the feeling, but not the words. But that is it. Kyra, all your kyratisations show a love for the object. That is so wonderful to see.

If that does not qualify as professional I am not sure what does. Great job, nice to see some one take the time on this sort of thing.
