Any info on this small compass

I think the center line is a date. Might be Feb 1976. If that's true, it's post-war.

 

But still ‘Cold War’.

must be a Vietnam era parachute button compass not sure if the loop was added on later but must be the same as the one in the pic. Same looking back but can't see the front.

 

I've found similar as Escape Compasses. The WCC is attributed to the Waltham Clock Company. I have no idea if any of that is true.

Thanks moreotherstuff for your reply the link you provided sure looks like it but I'm sure mine is a authentic piece just the look and feel but can't seem to find another authentic escape compass anyways thanks again for you link and replys. Matt
